"King of the Court" is a drill in pickleball that is usually done as part of training. The goal of the game is to stay on the "throne" for as long as possible while other teams try to knock you off the throne by winning a game against you.
Here are the basic rules for a "King of the Court" game of pickleball:
(We are assuming that we have 4 places available and a total of 8 teams)
In the first game, the teams are randomly placed on the seats. The seat on the far right is the seat with the throne for the royal team.
Now one set is played up to 11 and the losing team then goes to the left and the winning team always goes to the right.
The King Team always stays in its place, of course. Whoever has scored the most points on the King's Place at the end is the winner.
